Why Anime & Wine?

The short answer

 Few things are better than coming home from a long day to a nice glass of wine and your favorite anime.

 The pairing is unmatched.  

 I wanted to create a community for adults away from the toxicity, misogyny and at times racism that can plague both communities.

 The longer and much more personal answer..

 Alcoholism is a growing epidemic in the black community. The proliferation of liquor stores in our neighborhoods selling high strength alcohol, lack of mental health resources and predatory marketing practices emphasizing excessive drinking as our only social currency for fun creates a cycle of abuse with devastating consequences in our communities.

 As a black marketer in the wine industry I started Anime and Wine in part to create change in my community by

 1.Creating fun drinking environments that emphasize mindfulness and moderate drinks as an alternative to club culture.

 2. More sommelier and wine expert curated selections. Drink better

 3. Fun. A lot more fun in the very self-serious wine industry
